The scandalous incident took place on October 4, but was only revealed on Wednesday, a day after Erdogan wrapped up his visit to Belgium.
The two countries' security agents were involved in considerable bickering between October 4 and October 6 after they failed to agree on who was supposed to do which job.
It was reported that the worst scuffle took place during a reception at Hertoginnedal Castle in Brussels on Monday, when one of Erdogan's bodyguards was reportedly knocked down by a Belgian security officer.
The scuffle occurred amid a security check-out in the castle, where Erdogan was due to deliver a speech.

Some media reports said that the rival security agents only pushed and shoved one another, and that nobody was punched during the fracas.
On September 30, more than fifty Russian aircraft, including Su-24M, Su-25 and Su-34 warplanes, commenced precision airstrikes on Islamic State targets in Syria at the behest of Syrian President Bashar Assad.
Earlier that day, the Russian upper house of parliament unanimously supported the request of President Vladimir Putin to deploy units of the Russian Aerospace Forces abroad.
