MOSCOW (Sputnik) — RN-Aero, a Rosneft subsidiary, has won a tender to fuel Korean Airlines planes at Vladivostok and Irkutsk international airports, Rosneft said in a press release.
The contract was signed for one year, from November 1, 2015 until October 31, 2016.
Korean Airlines is South Korea's national carrier and one of the world's 20 largest airlines. It is a founding member of the SkyTeam global airline alliance. It has a fleet of 155 airplanes.
RN-Aero controls fueling complexes at Sheremetyevo, Sochi, Krasnoyarsk, Krasnodar, Gelendzhik and other airports. The company currently fuels aircraft at 36 airports in and outside Russia. In 2014, Rosneft became a leader in terms of aircraft fuel sales on the Russian market, delivering over 3.4 million metric tons of fuel in 2014.
