Gazprom to Deliver 2Bn Cubic Meters of Gas Via Turkish Stream to Turkey
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The gas from the proposed Nord Stream-2 pipeline could also be supplied to the southeastern European countries through the Baumgarten gas hub, CEO of Russian energy company Gazprom Alexei Miller said Thursday.

"Yes, they could also be supplied [with gas] from Baumgarten," Miller told journalists, when asked the corresponding question.

According to Miller, the Nord Stream-2’s main markets are Germany, France, Italy and the Baumgarten hub in Austria.

In June, Gazprom announced plans to build two additional branches of the Nord Stream gas pipeline from Russia to Germany in a joint project with E.ON, Shell and OMV, with an estimated cost of 9.9 billion (over $11 billion).

The Nord Stream-2 project, which plans to use the original Nord Stream pipeline for 86-percent of the route before branching off, could provide up to 55 billion cubic meters of direct gas supplies from the Russian shores through the Baltic Sea to the coast of Germany.
