"Let's not throw stones at it. It is one of the most powerful [intelligence services], but even it does not know everything, "Putin said, commenting on the words of popular Russian TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov saying that the US intelligence has stopped working after Russia launched its missiles in Syria.
"These missiles have been in use not so long — since 2012. Their range is 1,500 kilometers, and they represent high-tech, high-precision modern weapons," Putin said in an interview with Russia’s Rossiya-1 television channel.
Earlier, the Russian President stated that Moscow warned Western partners of its operation in Syria in advance.
On September 30, Russia started military operations in the country following an official request of the Syrian President Bashar-al-Assad. Since then, Russia has been carrying out precision airstrikes on ISIL targets in Syria and destroyed a number of important strategic facilities of the terrorist organization.
