MOSCOW (Sputnik) — This came two days after Pyongyang unveiled a new and bigger intercontinental ballistic missile, called KN-08, during a military parade on Saturday to mark the 70th anniversary of the ruling Workers’ Party.
South Korean Defense Ministry’s deputy spokesman Col. Na Seung-yong admitted during a Monday press briefing that Pyongyang had made considerable progress in miniaturizing nuclear warheads, but added it had yet to develop a technology to fit missiles with them.
The military spokesman stressed that Seoul and its US allies were analyzing the North’s nuclear capabilities.
Korean media reported previously that KN-08s had a range of up to 10,000 kilometers (6,213 miles).
