MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the Dutch Safety Board circulated its final report stating that the Malaysian Airlines passenger plane crashed as a result of a ground-to-air missile explosion near the left side of the plane. According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the report cannot be considered objective as Russia was not part of the probe and the arguments provided by the Russian side had been ignored.
"The investigation cannot be considered valid or objective without taking into account all the evidence and it is clear that they are not taking into account the evidence supplied by Russia and others about the facts and refused to allow Russia to be part of the investigative process and the drafting of the report."
On Tuesday, Russian air defense system producer Almaz-Antey General Director Yan Novikov, following the manufacturer's own investigation, said that the missile that downed the Boeing 777 over Ukraine could only have been a 9M38 missile from a Buk system launched from the region of Zaroshchenske. This type of missile was removed from the Russian Armed Forces in 2011.
Black underscored that the Dutch report states that a ground-to-air Buk missile, which only Kiev forces are known to possess, brought down the plane.
"However, this conclusion ignores completely the evidence that Kiev Sukhoi [jets] were in the area and that damage to the aircraft is also consistent with the plane being hit by an air to air missile which would cause similar damage."
Meanwhile, Peter Haisenko, German aviation expert and retired pilot, told Sputnik that "it was definitely not the Buk system that hit the aircraft."
Black claimed that NATO states and "the junta they installed in Kiev have only one objective-to blame Russia for the incident no matter what the facts are and therefore their propaganda will continue to press that line in order to justify their continuous and accelerating hostility towards Russia."
The Malaysian Airlines plane crashed near the eastern Ukrainian city of Donetsk while en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur on July 17, 2014. All 298 people on board, mostly Dutch citizens, were killed.
