KUALA LUMPUR (Sputnik) — Malaysia will consistently pursue policies to punish those responsible for Malaysia Airlines MH17 flight crash in eastern Ukraine, Prime Minister Najib Razak said Tuesday.
"[M]alaysia will remain steadfast until those behind this heinous act are made to pay for their crimes," Razak said in a statement on Facebook.
Razak's comments came shortly after the Dutch Safety Board, which has been conducting a probe into the MH17 crash, released its final report earlier in the day. The report revealed that the aircraft was hit with a 9N314M-type warhead on its left side.
Kiev and the West have blamed eastern Ukrainian militia for the incident. The militia say they do not have weapons capable of bringing down a commercial passenger jet aircraft flying at cruise altitude.
