KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukraine has resumed imports of natural gas from Poland, spokesman for the Ukrtransgaz company Maxim Belyavsky told RIA Novosti Tuesday.
“An application for 0.3 million cubic meters of gas imports from Poland was received today,” Belyavsky said.
Gas supplies from Poland to Ukraine are carried out through the Germanovitse gas metering station (Poland).
Ukraine stopped gas imports through Poland in May 2015.
Earlier this month, Russian energy giant Gazprom renewed its gas deliveries to Ukraine after it received $234 million in prepayment after a three-month delivery pause. Before the resumption of direct gas flows from Russia, Ukraine purchased reverse gas flows, mainly from Hungary and Slovakia.
