MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Moscow City Court on Wednesday authorized for the first time blocking permanently the access to rutor.org portal and 12 other websites with 'pirated' content, the court's spokesperson Ulyana Solopova said.

"For the first time in Russia, the access to these sites has been blocked permanently in a lawsuit on protection of intellectual property rights," Solopova told reporters.

Previously, Russia blocked access only to select web pages with pirated copies of movies or TV shows.
