BERLIN (Sputnik) — Syrian and Libyan wars will be focus issues at the October 15-16 European Council meeting in Brussels, a source in the German government sold reporters Wednesday.
The source added that heads of state would discuss sectarian violence in Turkey.
According to the source, ongoing violence and the weak economies of countries from which the largest number of refugees arrive to Europe, will be the main points on the agenda.
Europe faces the worst refugee crisis since World War II, as hundreds of thousands of migrants from crisis-torn countries in Africa and the Middle East seek safe haven in the European Union. Syria and Lebanon are among countries from which the largest number of asylum seekers flee.
