Instead of getting access to their popular network, many Twitter users were greeted by a broken robot and the message: "Something is technically wrong. Thanks for noticing — we're going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon."
For some time, the network seems to alternate between working fine and being in a down state.
For most of the users however it was a good reason to joke.
