BURABAI (Kazakhstan) (Sputnik) – The CIS summit is underway in Kazakhstan with 17 issues on the agenda. The Russian delegation is headed by President Vladimir Putin.
Apart from the above, leaders signed CIS member-state cooperation agreement for strengthening border security and a document for the establishment of a CIS border agencies' group to address situations at the bloc's external borders.
CIS member-state heads also signed a declaration on countering international terrorism as well as a number of other documents.
The CIS includes Russia and eight other former Soviet republics.
