MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Flight MH17, en route from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur, was brought down allegedly by a "surface-to-air" missile on July 17, 2014 over the Donetsk countryside, killing all 298 people on board.
"Russia is planning to propose to the Board to resume the investigation of the Flight MH17 crash," the ministry said in a statement posted on its website.
"If the Netherlands express the desire to take part in the discussion of conclusions made by the Russian side during its own probe into the crash, we would be willing to organize such work," the ministry stressed.
The version with the missile exploding near the left side of the plane is outlined in the Dutch Safety Board final report on the crash issued on Tuesday.
Earlier on Friday, Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders said Russia was "sowing confusion" about the fate of flight MH17 by perpetually criticizing the final report into the tragedy.
Commenting on his remark, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Koenders' comment was perplexing since Moscow had always been pursuing an independent, comprehensive and impartial probe into the disaster.
