The more the Ukrainians listen to the government’s mantra about ex-President Yanukovych and Russian President Putin being responsible for their woes, the harder their everyday life is going to become, former PM Mykola Azarov wrote on Saturday.

“The myth about the previous government, Putin and aggressive Russia allows the Kiev regime to keep robbing the Ukrainians… And the longer they believe these myths, the longer this regime of plunderers will be able to tighten its noose around their necks,” Azarov wrote on his Facebook.

Mykola Azarov blamed Ukraine’s present hardships on the 2014 coup that brought to power “thieves and embezzlers.”

“That’s how things are now… All the Kiev regime succeeded in was stoking up an atmosphere of hatred of the previous government and Russia. This is a dead-end and something more and more people now come to realize,” the ex-Premier said in conclusion.
