MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Apart from Russian citizens, the plane brought eight Belarusian nationals, four Ukrainian citizens and two citizens of Syria to Moscow.
Moscow will continue providing humanitarian aid to Syria and help Russians willing to temporarily leave the country, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement Saturday.
"The Russian Federation will continue providing necessary humanitarian aid to the friendly people of Syria, and will help the Russian people who may want to temporarily leave the Syrian Arab Republic, the statement said.
Russia has evacuated over 1,100 people, including Russian, Ukrainian and European nationals, from Syria amid ongoing violence in the country.
