TEL AVIV (Sputnik) – One Israeli citizen was killed in an attack by two suspected Palestinian gunmen in the southern city of Beersheba, an Israeli police spokesman said Sunday.
"1 person killed in attack at central bus station in [B]eer Sheva," Micky Rosenfeld wrote, adding that heightened security continued in the area.
Previously, Rosenfeld tweeted that the five Israelis attacked at a central bus station were wounded.
He said earlier one of the assailants was killed and the other apprehended.
The emergency service press service said the wounded Israelis were in critical condition.
The latest death toll adds to a series of gun, knife and car attacks that have killed seven Israelis and over 40 Palestinians since the start of October.
