Trudeau, who is set to become Canada’s next prime minister, has previously promised a reduction in the number of ministers to about 25 from current 40 as well as an equal gender split in the new cabinet.
Toronto Mayor John Tory said in a press conference on Tuesday that Canadians see Trudeau and the Liberal party as the vehicle to best deliver change.

A record number of 88 women have been elected as members of Canada’s parliament, with 50 of them being members of the Liberal party.
