ASTANA (Sputnik) – Alongside road transport agreements between SCO member states, the agreement stipulates better coordination to develop transportation and simplify shipment documentation procedures, Novosti-Kazakhstan news agency reported.
In accordance with the agreement, the parties offer carriers the right to conduct international road transportation on their territory in vehicles registered in one of the SCO member states.
Under the deal, foreign vehicles would have to follow special routes and go through checkpoints on the state border on the basis of relevant permits.
The SCO is a political, economic and military alliance composed of six member states, including Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as five observer states and three dialogue partners.
