MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The demonstration was carried out near a local factory producing tear gas and rubber bullets, which are used by law enforcement to disperse protesters.
The rally also marked one year since Remi Fraisse, a young environmental activist, was fatally wounded by police grenade during a protest.
The number of people participating in the demonstration not sanctioned by French authorities stands at some 300.
The rallies against police brutality were carried out across France, including in Grenoble, Strasbourg and Tarn.
