MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Tolo News television channel quoted Shah Waliullah Adeeb who said militants had sent off numerous children to fight for them in war zones.
"Recently Taliban started using children in the war. They have closed schools and most Taliban casualties are children," Adeeb said, confirming reports of Taliban’s child soldiers that transpired in recent weeks.
The Taliban reportedly captured the district of Wardoj earlier this month. They have been closing schools in the territories under their control, preventing 10,000 students from attending classes in the Badakhshan province alone, the local education department said.
