Russia Decides to Participate in Northeast Asia Security Forum in Seoul
Senior diplomats from five countries of Northeast Asia, including Russia, will meet in Seoul on October 27-29 to participate in a forum on peace and cooperation in the region, the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Monday.
TOKYO (Sputnik) — Russia will be represented at the Northeast Asia Peace and Cooperation Initiative meeting by Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov.
The United States will send a delegation led by State Department Special Representative for North Korea Policy Sung Kim.

Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin will represent his country, while the Japanese delegation is expected to be led by Deputy Foreign Minister Kimihiro Ishikane.
South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Kim Hong-kyun will represent Seoul at the forum. A delegation from Mongolia will also participate in the conference. The forum will be attended by representatives of the United Nations, the European Union and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
According to the South Korean Foreign Ministry, the second meeting of the forum will focus on the implementation of South Korean President Park Geun-hye's initiatives to strengthen regional co-operation and trust in matters of nuclear safety, prevention and mitigation of natural disasters and environmental protection.
