MOSCOW (Sputnik) — BRICS countries could get involved in Russia's projects to creating scientific mega-installations, Russian Education and Science Minister Dmitry Livanov said Wednesday.
"While working on these projects, we came to understand that their successful advancement is only possible on the basis of close international cooperation. And today we have a unique opportunity to combine Russian resources with the resources of other BRICS members for the creation of these and other large research structures that will allow our countries to assume leading positions in corresponding scientific fields," Livanov said at the Open Innovations 2015 forum in Moscow.
BRICS is an association of five major developing economies, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
Open Innovations is an annual international forum which focuses on future technologies and the role they play in contemporary society, the economy and everyday life.
