MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At least four people died Thursday in the southwestern Yemeni city of Taiz after an airstrike by the Saudi-led Arab coalition hit a bus, a Yemeni security source told Sputnik.
"Four people died and five were injured in an airstrike launched by the Arab Coalition’s air forces. It hit a bus in Taiz that was carrying company employees," the source said.
Security forces believe the bus belonged to the Hayel Saeed Anam Group, a conglomerate with headquarters in Taiz.
Taiz is one of the biggest cities in Yemen's southwestern highlands, and is close to the port of Mocha on the Red Sea. It has seen months of battles between Houthi opposition forces and troops loyal to displaced President Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi.
A coalition led by Saudi forces has been bombing Houthi positions at Hadi's request since March.
