Indian Minister Signs Condolence Book Honoring Memory of A321 Crash Victims

Indian Minister of Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju on Monday went to the Russian Embassy in New Delhi and signed a condolence book honoring the memory of victims in the Russian Airbus A321 crash in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, a Sputnik correspondent reported.

NEW DELHI (Sputnik) — Earlier on Monday, the Russian Embassy in India opened a condolence book to honor the memory of those who died in the crash.

On Saturday, the Russian airliner, carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All people on board, including 25 children, were confirmed dead by Russian and Egyptian authorities.

The tragedy is the largest civilian aircraft disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
