TALLINN (Sputnik) — Estonian Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand on Monday signed a condolence book honoring the memory of victims in the Russian Airbus A321 crash.
Kaljurand visited the Russian Embassy in Estonia to honor the memory of those who died in the crash.
“Let me express my sincere and deep condolences to the families and relatives of the perished, as well as to the entire Russian nation. In these days, our thoughts are with you,” Kaljurand wrote in the condolence book in the Russian language.
On Saturday, a Russian aircraft, carrying 217 passengers and seven crew members crashed in the Sinai Peninsula en route from the Egyptian resort city of Sharm El-Sheikh to St. Petersburg. All people on board, including 25 children, were confirmed dead by Russian and Egyptian authorities.
The tragedy is the largest civilian aircraft disaster in Russian and Soviet history.
