"Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, is being awarded a $24,039,067 modification to [a] previously awarded contract… for fiscal 2016 Navy Standard Missile depot and… maintenance tasks… and Foreign Military Sales SM-2 repairs and maintenance," the report stated on Monday evening.
The SM-2 is a fleet-area air defense weapon, providing anti-air warfare and limited anti-surface warfare capability against anti-ship missiles and aircraft out to 90 nautical miles and an altitude of 65,000 feet, according to Raytheon.
Work on the contract is expected to be complete by December 2016, the report said.
Raytheon provides state-of-the-art electronics, mission systems integration, command, control, communications and intelligence systems and cybersecurity.
