DAMASCUS (Sputnik) —It still remains unclear, why the terrorists decided to release those captured.
"ISIL has released 37 people from our community today. Everyone is already in Tall Tamr. Mostly women," the spokesman said.
The negotiations began in March, after the islamists seized Christian villages on the Khabour River in Al Hasakah and captured more than 250 local residents.
The Islamic State is a militant group in control of large areas of Syria and Iraq. The group is notorious for its brutality and multiple human rights violations.
