SHARM EL-SHEIKH (Sputnik) — The Russian experts, who had arrived in the city of Sharm el-Sheikh for a security audit at the airport, will start their work on Monday, the deputy director of the airport told RIA Novosti on Sunday.
"Today, the Russian experts got permission to implement the necessary work, and tomorrow, they will begin operations," Hani Ramzy said.
Earlier in the day, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said that the first group of Russian security experts had headed for Egypt, the second group is also scheduled to leave Russia on Sunday, which will later be followed by the third group.
According to Dvorkovich, the Russian specialists will assess the levels of safety in the major Egyptian airports, and will make recommendations on the additional measures, if necessary.
