MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov has discussed the coordination of anti-terrorism efforts with a Syrian opposition delegation, the Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.
During a Moscow meeting with envoys from Syria's Popular Front for Change and Liberation, Bogdanov raised "issues regarding coordination with armed groups of the Syrian patriotic opposition on the fight against the Islamic State and other terrorist groups in Syria," the ministry said in a statement.
The sides also exchanged views on the situation in Syria "with an emphasis on the need to hastily begin talks between the Syrian government and a broad range of Syrian opposition forces."
