ROME (Sputnik) — In late September, Russia, Syria, Iraq and Iran created the Baghdad Information Center to coordinate anti-ISIL joint military actions.
The four countries are represented by officers of the national armed forces, whose primary task is to collect and analyze data related to ISIL activities in the region.
"It is an important partnership. Iran, Russia, Iraq and Syria reached an agreement to collaborate in combating the Islamic State… [which] is a threat to the entire region and even for others, including the European Union," Rouhani told the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
