MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The prime minister was speaking after he chaired an emergency Cobra meeting of ministers and security officials following a string of gun and bomb attacks on Friday night that killed 127 in the French capital.
"The threat level is already at ‘severe,’ which means an attack is highly likely and will remain so. Our police and intelligence agencies work round the clock to do all they can to keep us safe," Cameron said.
He vowed to redouble efforts to "wipe out this poisonous extremist ideology" and work together with the French and other allies around the world to defend their values.
Cameron said he had spoken to French President Francois Hollande Saturday morning and pledged to do whatever they can to help.
