French satirical weekly Charlie Hebdo has issued a statement condemning the series of bombings that took place in Paris on Friday night. The statement was published on the website of TV channel BFMTV on Saturday.

"Team Charlie Hebdo expressed dismay and indignation after the Paris attacks on Friday, November 13. The magazine shares the grief of victims of the terrorist attacks and their loved ones and expresses support for them," the statement said. The newspaper also condemned violence, serving "the totalitarian Islamist ideology whose sole purpose is the destruction of democracy and the values of France."

On January 7, a group of terrorists attacked the Parisian office of Charlie Hebdo, a magazine notorious for publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, killing 12 people and injuring 11 others.
