MOSCOW (Sputnik) —Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Rouhani postponed his scheduled visits to the European countries because of the tragedy in the French capital, the Iranian IRNA news agency reported.
On Friday, attacks in the French capital occurred at six different locations, including the Bataclan concert hall and the Stade de France stadium. More than 200 people were injured in the series attacks, and at least 150 people died.
It was expected that Rouhani would meet with the leadership of France and Italy and Pope Francis. His visit to Italy was scheduled on November 14-15 and to France on November 16-18.
French President Francois Hollande declared a state of emergency, closed the French border and ordered a mobilization of extra servicemen after the attacks.
