MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On Monday, an independent investigative commission, set up by World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), presented a report accusing Russia of numerous violations of global anti-doping codes and recommended the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) suspend Russia from international athletics, including the 2016 Olympics. On Friday, Russia was provisionally suspended from track and field.
"Russian Olympic Committee is ready to take the lead in reforming the Russian Athletic Federation and to bring the federation in line with the demands of IAAF and anti-doping legislation. It should be done in a proper manner as soon as possible," Zhukov said, as quoted by ROC press service.
