MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Saturday night fire broke out at the Masjid Al-Salaam Mosque, the only mosque in the city of Peterborough, Ontario.
"We’ve determined the fire was deliberately set … just by what was located," Sgt Tim Millard said Sunday, as quoted by the National Post newspaper.
Other media reports claimed that the police had told the local Muslim association they were treating the incident as a hate crime.
