ANTALYA (Sputnik) — It is erroneous and disrespectful to correlate terrorism with any specific religion, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Monday.
"Issuing a joint final declaration of this G20 Summit is an indication of our shared stance and position on terrorism. Terrorism does not know any faith, region, ethnicity or religion. It is extremely wrong to associate terrorism with any specific religion, and in fact doing so is a big insult and disrespect," Erdogan said at the G20 Summit final press conference in Turkey.
According to him, Syrian President Bashar Assad has no place in the future of Syria, since he is responsible for multiple casualties due to the ongoing civil war.
