MANILA (Sputnik) – APEC ministers have not issued a joint statement or decision condemning the recent terrorist attacks in Paris, Philippine Foreign Secretary Albert del Rosario said Tuesday.
"We did not come up with a group decision, but everyone who spoke expressed condemnation," del Rosario said at a press conference on the sidelines of the APEC economic Leaders week, adding that each minister made personal statements on the deadly Paris attacks during the APEC Ministerial Meeting on Monday and Tuesday.
According to del Rosario, ministers called for the unity of nations and peoples, as well as for holding accountable those behind the attacks in the French capital.
A series of suicide bombings and shooting attacks across Paris on November 13 left some 130 dead and over 350 injured. The Islamic State militant group took responsibility for the attacks.
