“One hit was confirmed and two suspects have been detained at the scene,” the statement details.
The Israeli military said none of their soldiers were wounded in the shootout.

On Monday, two Palestinians were killed in a gunfire exchange with IDF personnel in the West Bank’s Qalandiya refugee camp, between Ramallah and Jerusalem.

The battle with fighters of Fatah-affiliated Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades lasted for at least one hour, Al Jazeera reported. The incident occurred after hundreds of Israeli soldiers and special forces raided the camp and demolished a house belonging to an alleged terrorist.

The latest wave of violence in the region started in early October. It has already claimed lives of nearly 90 Palestinians and 13 Israelis.
