Separately in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 17 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using bomber, attack, and fighter aircraft against ISIL targets,” CENTCOM stated.
The coalition conducted its airstrikes on Monday near three Syria’s cities, including Kirkuk, Abu Kamal, and Dayr Az Zawr, hitting IS fighting positions, tactical units, buildings as well as oil facilities.
Russia also continues its air campaign against the ISIL in Syria, commenced on September 30 at the request of President Bashar Assad. Since the beginning of the air campaign, Russian Aerospace Forces have carried out around 1,800 sorties, destroying some 2,700 terrorist targets. Several hundreds of militants have been killed, dozens of command centers and depots destroyed.
