Sputnik’s correspondent in our Paris Bureau, — Boris Taton — lives on the same street where the antiterrorist operation took place and is currently in the French capital’s suburb of Saint-Denis.
“Ten meters from me I saw policemen and heard explosions, gun shots… Police then arrived and started checking an apartment in a nearby house,” Boris said.
When asked who the targets of this police operation were, Boris said that the police were apparently looking for people with links to the terrorists and probably the mastermind of Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris.
When asked if there were any indications that the police had found any suspects, if there had been any civilian injuries or fatalities, or any police officers killed or wounded, Boris Taton said that he saw one policeman injured.
He did not know if there were any others because it was still dark at the time.
“What I saw was an explosion when the woman blew herself up… I couldn’t see the woman, but I saw the window and a mattress flying out of the window,” Boris Taton added.
