MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Monday, President Francois Hollande announced extension of French law enforcement by creation of additional 8,500 jobs in police and legal system over a terrorist threat.
"In total, the mobilization of these new measures will lead to additional state budget spending of some 600 million euros in 2016," Sapin said at the opening of the 2016 finance bill review as quoted by the Senate of France TV channel.
He added that the funds would be used to finance both the new personnel and equipment for them.
Hollande declared a state of emergency and temporarily restored state border controls following Friday’s terrorist attacks in Paris that killed 129 people.
