BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — A Russian citizen was among hostages freed by security forces on Friday from a luxury hotel in the capital of Mali, Bamako, the Maliactu news portal reported citing Mali's security ministry.
"According to a report by Mali's interior security ministry, a Rusian national was among the freed hostages," the portal said.
There has been no confirmation so far from the Russian Embassy in Mali.
