BRUSSELS (Sputnik) — Several sources claimed that Abdeslam was seen in Anderlecht, a southwestern district of the Belgian capital, the Derniere Heure newspaper said. The suspect reportedly abandoned the vehicle near the Gare du Midi rail station.
Belgian police were put on standby and warned that Abdeslam could be traveling on foot, according to the French-language outlet.
The manhunt for the terror suspect has continued for days after police arrested the first suspects over the weekend. Most were released without charges.
Salah is the brother of Ibrahim Abdeslam, who blew himself up inside the French concert hall Bataclan a week ago. The assault on the concert hall was part of a series of well-coordinated gun and bomb attacks across Paris that killed 129 people and injured over 350.
