Sanctions should be imposed against countries that hold dialogue with terrorist organizations, the head of the Russian upper house of parliament’s international committee said Friday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Konstantin Kosachev said during a joint Federation Council and State Duma session:

“Our aviation carried out the first successful strikes against oil caravans. But it is time to punish not only the sellers [of oil], but also the buyers. And this can be done without any military power. This is when sanctions would be proper in contrast to the Ukrainian case. Each businessman holding business with terrorists, each state that encourages this activity should be called out by name and punished.”
