MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The United States and Russia's strategic goals in the fight against terrorism are similar, but there remain differences in tactics and the situation requires the cooperation of both countries, Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov said Friday.
“Washington and Moscow’s strategic goals are quite similar, but there are some differences in tactics. The situation currently requires a more active cooperation by both countries, especially between the United States and Russia, which carry particular responsibility for both security in the world and in the fight against terrorism, which is one of the main threats to the world,” Ushakov said in regard to what Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Barack Obama discussed in their meeting.
