MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the Belgian authorities have raised the terror alert level in Brussels to level 4, the highest possible.
"The U.S. Embassy urges U.S. citizens to shelter in place and remain at home. If you must go out, avoid large crowds. The Embassy will provide further information as received and is available," the embassy said in a statement published on its website.
The move came after on November 13, terrorist attacks in seven places across Paris killed about 130 people. The attacks were performed by several terrorists, at least four of whom were allegedly Belgian residents.
