MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the week, local media reported that the other Republican candidates considered uniting to remove Trump from the presidential race. In September, Trump ruled out running as a third party candidate in the 2016 election.
"Well, I’m going to have to see what happens. I will see what happens. I have to be treated fairly. You know, when I did this, I said I have to be treated fairly. If I’m treated fairly, I’m fine. All I want to do is a level playing field," Trump told the ABC television channel, when asked whether he would reconsider his promise.
Trump has been leading in recent polls, including the one on November 20.
The US presidential election is scheduled for November 8, 2016.
