A businessman from the city of Chelyabinsk, close to the Ural Mountains, made a gargantuan catch when hunting in the forest close to a nearby village on Friday, local media reported.
"The wild boar was so big that we couldn't even get it in the car," Peter Maksimov, the lucky hunter, told local news website Ekaterinburg Online.
Maksimov explained that though they are sure the animal weighs more than 500 kg, they weren't able to find its exact weight, because it is too big for any scales.
A news report about the wild boar was posted online.
"We had to attach the carcass to the car with a cable and carry it that way. When we drove through the village it was already late in the evening, and people who saw us were very surprised."
