CAIRO (Sputnik) — Cairo and Moscow have not suspended dialogue on creation of an industrial area near the Egypt's Suez Canal, Egyptian Minister of Industry and Trade Tarek Kabil said Tuesday.
On Sunday, Egyptian media reported of the talks suspension amid temporary withholding of visits between the two countries.
"The talks haven't been suspended, it is not true. Russian-Egypt relations develop quite dynamically," Kabil told RIA Novosti.
Russian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission meeting will be held at the end of January in Cairo, he added.
In August, during a visit to Moscow, Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Sisi said he was expecting to commence practical steps to create Russian industrial zone in the country in the nearest future.
