MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in the Cambodian capital on Sunday, earlier in the day he met with his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen and attended the signing of a batch of bilateral deals.
Among the agreements reached was a deal on curbing terrorism financing and money laundering signed by Russia's Federal Financial Monitoring Service and the Cambodian Financial Intelligence Unit (CAFIU) under the National Bank of Cambodia.
Russia’s state nuclear energy corporation Rosatom and the local Ministry of Environment signed a memorandum of understanding. A similar document was signed between the Russian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia while a memorandum of cooperation was signed by Russia's Ministry of Economic Development and the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the two health ministries.
The two governments also signed an air transport agreement.
